The answer now comes
before the results.
“Who's the best plumber in Tampa” still gets typed into Google. What's different is what comes back: an answer at the top naming two or three businesses, above the links. Ask ChatGPT or Gemini the same thing and you get the same shape of answer. Either way a handful get named, and everyone else is skipped.
Very few local businesses are building for this yet, which is why it is worth doing now.
Make your business legible to a machine.
Own the People Also Ask box.
The questions Google already shows for your trade, answered directly on your pages. Search your own service right now and you will see the box we mean.
Answer what the assistants get asked.
The same research aimed at ChatGPT and Gemini instead of the results page. Different surface, same measured questions.
Structured data, for what it actually earns.
Schema gets you eligible for Google's rich results and tells the search engines exactly what your business is. Google says outright that it is not required for AI answers, so we do not sell it as one.
Write so a machine can quote you.
Plain answers near the top of the page, in a form an assistant can lift without rewriting.
The answers come from your jobs.
You record a job you finished, we turn it into a page, and the monthly posts answer the questions we measured your market asking. That is where the quotable material comes from.
Check that the AI crawlers can reach you at all.
GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot and Google-Extended are often blocked by accident, usually by a plugin nobody remembers installing. If you are blocked, nothing else on this list matters.
Consistent business information everywhere.
Conflicting hours, addresses, or service lists make you a bad bet to name, which is what the listing cleanup keeps straight.
Measure who gets named, everywhere it matters.
Your market's real questions put to the assistants and to Google's AI answer, asked the same way each month, with every answer stored so you can read them yourself.
Nobody can guarantee AI visibility. We can measure it.
Anyone promising you a spot in ChatGPT's answers is guessing. What we can do is the work that makes you a reasonable business to name, and then measure the result honestly.
Nobody controls what they say.
These systems do not publish their rules, and no agency has a lever that changes their answers. Anyone selling you one is selling a guess.
We build you into a reasonable answer.
Structured, consistent, and quotable, so an assistant looking for a business to name has a straightforward reason to pick yours.
Then we measure who actually got named.
Your market's real questions put to the assistants, with the answers recorded, yours and your competitors', in your Market Report and in Soap.
Two ways to work together.
Local
For a business that wants to own its market, month after month.
Growth
Everything in Local, plus the intelligence layer for competitive markets.
Just need the site hosted and maintained? We do that too.
The questions people actually ask me.
Can you guarantee my business shows up in ChatGPT?
No, and nobody can. These systems do not publish their rules and no agency has a lever that changes their answers. What I can do is the work that makes you a reasonable business to name, then measure honestly whether it happened.
What is AEO or GEO, and do I need it?
They are new names for optimizing so AI can find you, and Google has answered the question directly: “optimizing for generative AI search is optimizing for the search experience, and thus still SEO.” I agree. Be careful with anyone selling it as a separate product.
Do I need an llms.txt file or special AI markup?
No. Google lists both under what you do not need to do, and says plainly that you do not need to create machine readable files or special markup to appear in Search. Nobody has shown the major assistants reading llms.txt. I will not bill you for one.
Does schema markup get me into AI answers?
No, and Google says so in its own documentation. Schema is still worth doing, because it makes you eligible for rich results and tells search engines exactly what your business is. It is a search lever, not an AI lever, and I price it that way.
How do you measure something that answers differently every time?
By asking the same questions the same way every month and storing every answer. You get the raw responses, not a score I invented. Where a number would be too noisy to mean anything, the report says so instead of guessing.
How is this different from Local SEO?
AI Search and Local SEO chase the same questions, so the same research feeds both. Both assume a site built to be read in the first place, which is where the build comes in.
